Educational Background: I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Louisiana College, my Master of Arts in English from University of Central Arkansas, and my Doctor of Education from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Years of Experience: 30 

This is my third year at Brame serving as assistant principal.

Awards & Distinctions:

• first National Board Certified Teacher in Rapides Parish
• Teacher of the Year at AMMS & Rapides Parish Teacher of the Year 2000-2001

At Brame, we push all of our Gators to excel--students and teachers alike. We know that quality, experienced teachers produce better gains in student achievement. It is my job to ensure teachers are growing: learning more about their craft and digging into the data of their classroom practice. As teachers grow and reflect on their own learning, they create optimal classroom environments for learning and increase student achievement.

I received my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Louisiana Tech University and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana Lafayette.

This is my first year in administration at Scott M. Brame Middle School. I also served 3 years at Bolton High School as Lead Teacher before arriving at Brame. 

As soon as our students get to our campus every day is an opportunity for me to have an impact. I will make sure that I give everything to our students in making sure that they get the best resources and guidance to be successful behaviorally as well as academically.
